The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 51ÊÓƵ is pleased to congratulate Dr. Fred Kibenge, professor, Department of Pathology and Microbiology, AVC, on being named one of the 2022 Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award recipients for his work as a section editor in the Spring Nature BMC Virology Journal 

Starting September 7, 2022, all members of the Indigenous community on Prince Edward Island will have the opportunity to learn the Mi’kmaw language at no cost.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 51ÊÓƵ congratulates Dr. Kathryn (Katy) Proudfoot, associate professor, Department of Health Management, and director, Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre, on being named the 2022 recipient of the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) Foundation’s Scholar Award in Dairy Production.

Award-winning author Katherine Dewar will give two talks in September about Prince Edward Island women who served in the Second World War. 

A historic event took place at 51ÊÓƵ recently when members of the University’s new Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies (IKERAS) gathered to get to know each other and talk about teaching their first courses this fall. 

The University issued a reminder of its COVID-19 protocols in effect to students, faculty, and staff on August 29, 2022.

As a boy, Logan Kelly-Murphy loved taking in a 51ÊÓƵ Men's Hockey game with his family and revelled in the joy of watching his hometown heroes compete on the ice. Several years later, Kelly-Murphy will now get an opportunity to suit up as a Panther.
