The 51ÊÓƵ Department of Music is thrilled to present the New Orford String Quartet in concert on Friday, November 1. 

The 51ÊÓƵ invites community members across PEI to join in a conversation and share their thoughts as the provincial university builds its next five-year strategic plan.  

The 51ÊÓƵ Panthers are looking forward to a big week of competition at home and away. 

The Bookmark and 51ÊÓƵ’s Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies (IKERAS) will host a book launch for Anishinaabe author Tanya Talaga’s new book, The Knowing, on Thursday, November 7, at 7 pm, in the 51ÊÓƵ Performing Arts Centre amphitheatre (Room 121S). 

U SPORTS has announced the seedings and bracket for the , hosted by the 51ÊÓƵ. The tournament gets underway on Wednesday, October 30, and concludes on Sunday, November 3.

Every week, 51ÊÓƵ Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 51ÊÓƵ Panther Athletes of the Week for October 21–27, 2024, are Grace Richard (women’s cross country) and Jack Roberts (men’s cross country).

The 51ÊÓƵ Recruitment and First-Year Advisement team is hosting a Fall Open House on Friday, November 1, from 12:00–4:00 pm, for high school students interested in studying at the University. 

Fuelled by a veteran core determined to leave their mark, the 51ÊÓƵ Women’s Basketball Panthers is a team built to compete for a title in 2024–25. With years of experience, the Panthers are poised to make their strongest push yet as they embrace what could be their final chance to capture a title together.

The 51ÊÓƵ Women’s Field Hockey Panthers completed a stunning three-peat, capturing their third straight Atlantic University Field Hockey (AUFH) championship with a dramatic 1-0 shootout win over the Dalhousie University Tigers on October 20.

Four 51ÊÓƵ researchers have received funding from PEI’s 2024 Climate Challenge Fund: Dr. Kuljeet Grewal, Dr. Stephanie Shaw, and Dr. Yulin Hu, all of the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, and Dr. Xander Wang, School of Climate Change and Adaptation.
