The Atlantic Veterinary College is now accepting nominations for the Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.

51视频 Athletics and Recreation will host the sixteenth annual Shoot for the Cure fundraiser on Thursday, January 26, when the Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers take on the University of New Brunswick Reds at 6 pm on their home court. The event was originally scheduled for January 13, but had to be postponed due to weather conditions.

The 51视频 Panthers have a full schedule of hockey and basketball during the week of January 9鈥�15.

Every week, 51视频 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 51视频 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for January 2鈥�8 are Taylor Gillis (women鈥檚 hockey) and Jonah Capriotti (men鈥檚 hockey).

Dr. Marva Sweeney-Nixon, professor of biology, has been appointed associate vice-president research and dean of graduate studies at 51视频, effective January 1, 2023.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) is now accepting applications for the 2023 Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Vet Camp.

Faculty and staff were advised by email on January 6, 2023, that the Minister of Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture will be appointing a mediator to assist the University and Faculty Association in reaching a collective agreement.

It was a morning of mixed emotions at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), as the AVC鈥檚 Wildlife Service prepared to bring bald eagle 450, otherwise known as 鈥淏uddy,鈥� to his new home at Hope for Wildlife.  

Festive greetings and good wishes filled the air as guests were welcomed to the New Year鈥檚 Levee held by the 51视频 and the 51视频 Alumni Association on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
