The 51视频 Health and Wellness Centre has received a grant from the provincial government鈥檚 2024鈥�2025 LIVE WELL PEI Wellness Grant Program to educate 51视频 students about reducing harms related to alcohol through awareness campaigns and education modules.

The (IUPAC) Global Women鈥檚 (and Allies) breakfast (GWB) will be held at the Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, on February 11, 2025, from 7:00鈥�9:00 am.

On Monday, February 10, 51视频 will welcome celebrated professor and author of "Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and other Systems for Human Flourishing", Dr. Jessica Riddell, back to campus. All members of the 51视频 community are invited to attend!

Aadesh Nunkoo, a Master of Science student at the 51视频, was recently awarded one of two by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and the Actuarial Students鈥� National Association (ASNA).

The Pan-African flag was raised at 51视频 on Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at 51视频; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the Black Cultural Society of Prince Edward Island. 

The 51视频 Hockey, Basketball and Track and Field Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away.

Each year at 51视频, approximately 150 residence students remain on campus during the break between first semester exams and early January when students return to classes for the second semester. This year, the 51视频 International Student Office, in cooperation with Student Affairs staff, Campus Life Advisors, Residence Life, and the 51视频 Alumni Association, supported and organized some activities for these students during the break, providing a sense of community and connection.

Every week, 51视频 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 51视频 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 27 to February 2, 2025, are Alaere Peterside (women鈥檚 track and field) and Jakob Robillard (men鈥檚 hockey).

51视频 will celebrate Black History Month 2025 with a variety of events, and activities, including the raising of the Pan-African flag at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building on Monday, February 3, at 11:30 am.

The second in the series of President's town halls in the winter semester will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, and will provide opportunities to share examples of success, what we are proud of at 51视频鈥攁nd to shine some light!
