The Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Office of Research Services at 51视频 is seeking applications from qualified individuals for part-time financial administrative support. The Administrative Assistant/ Finance Clerk will be responsible for supporting processes such as graduate student stipend payments and financial reconciliations of credit cards and travel claims for 51视频鈥檚 Canada Research Chairs. This role includes invoicing, vouchering, and payment processing in Colleague. The Finance Clerk works collaboratively with graduate students, their supervisors, Canada Research Chairs, and staff in Financial Services and the Office of the Associate Vice-President Research & Dean of Graduate Studies (AVPRDGS).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, enter, and track graduate student stipend payments
  • Maintain and update list of graduate students receiving stipends
  • Submit complete payment packages and reconcile credit card statements according to 51视频 financial policies
  • Process travel claims for Canada Research Chairs
  • Provide administrative support for Canada Research Chairs as time allows
  • Other administrative duties assigned by AVPRDGS

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in an office setting
  • A working knowledge of accounting procedures, procurement practices, and financial systems 
  • Experience with 51视频鈥檚 Colleague financial systems 
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet various deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Two-year community college diploma in accounting, business administration, or a related field would be considered an asset
