Our Stories

Olivier Philips, an MSc student with Dr. Patrick Murphy in 51ÊÓÆµâ€™s Department of Biology, is the first 51ÊÓÆµ recipient of a graduate scholarship of $29,750 through BHCRI’s Cancer Research Training Program (CRTP).

Dr. Kate Scarth is Chair of L.M. Montgomery Studies and Assistant Professor of Applied Communication, Leadership, and Culture (ACLC) at 51ÊÓÆµ.

In the role as UNESCO Chair in Island Studies and Sustainability, Dr. Mitchell will take a broad perspective on small islands’ sustainability across the intersecting socio-economic, cultural, aesthetic, and environmental domains.

Emma is working hard this year as Mawi'omi Centre student lead, offering academic supports as well as organizing inclusive events and activities to help Indigenous students connect with one another and feel welcome supported at 51ÊÓÆµ.

Dr. Josh MacFadyen is an associate professor in the Faculty of Arts, and the Canada Research Chair in Geospatial Humanities.
