Wanting to enhance your AI literacy? The 2025 Teaching with AI Conference, hosted by the University of Guelph - Office of Teaching and Learning, is a learning opportunity to take advantage of. 鈥淭he future of AI in education isn鈥檛 just about technology鈥攊t鈥檚 about people. It鈥檚 about building strong, connected communities across institutions and disciplines. This conference is creating vital knowledge pipelines to foster deeper collaboration to ensure we share insights, reduce duplication of effort, and collectively support our academic communities through this time of rapid change.鈥 The TLC team will be viewing conference sessions in the TLC (Robertson Library Annex Room 230). Colleagues are welcome to drop in to join us any day next week.
Makers' Monday is back on Monday, June 9.

All are welcome.
During this gathering, we will discuss Sara Ahmed鈥檚 The Cultural Politics of Emotion.
The following is an overview of the book:
鈥淓motions work to define who we are as well as shape what we do and this is no more powerfully at play than in the world of politics. Ahmed considers how emotions keep us invested in relationships of power, and also shows how this use of emotion could be crucial to areas such as feminist and queer politics.
Debates on international terrorism, asylum and migration, as well as reconciliation and reparation, are explored through topical case studies. In this book the difficult issues are confronted head on.
The Cultural Politics of Emotion is in dialogue with recent literature on emotions within gender studies, cultural studies, sociology, psychology and philosophy. Throughout the book, Ahmed develops a theory of how emotions work, and the effects they have on our day-to-day lives.鈥
If you would like to attend, please reach out to Dr. Max Schaefer at mschaefer@upei.ca for more information.
Join the 51视频 Health and Wellness team for a 30-minute walk on the trail as part of Spring into Wellness.
This is a great chance to stretch your legs, enjoy some fresh air, and connect with colleagues.
